Empowering Students to Create
Meaningful Change
The Student Impact Alliance (SIA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to two core missions: empowering students through real-world experience and fostering a sense of belonging in the community.
What does the Student Impact Alliance (SIA) do?
1. Real-World Experience: Through structured volunteer and internship programs, students gain hands-on experience in areas like marketing, human resources, and event planning, helping them build skills for future careers.
2. Community & Social Engagement: SIA creates inclusive spaces where students can connect and feel a sense of belonging. A key initiative is the weekly Speed Friending event, designed to help students meet new people and build meaningful relationships.
3. Philanthropic & Service Initiatives: The organization runs various community service projects, such as the Feed the People food giveaway and direct aid programs like meal assistance.
4. York Campus Chapter: While SIA as a whole balances skill-building with community engagement, the York Campus Chapter focuses specifically on providing social environments for students.
