With Bethune College Council
The Grocery Fund initiative is a targeted effort by the Student Impact Alliance & Bethune College Council to combat food insecurity within our community, specifically among underprivileged York University students.
What We Want To Do

To provide temporary relief from food insecurity, allowing York University Students to focus on education and personal growth.

To create a support system that fosters a sense of belonging and community engagement.
What We Stand On

Immediate Relief: Provide $75 No Frills gift cards for nutritious meals.

Fairness: Ensure a transparent, needs-based selection process.

Engagement: Connect recipients with current and future Student Impact Alliance & Bethune College Council initiatives.
How The Application Process Works
Application Phase: Individuals complete an online form collecting essential information while maintaining privacy.
Review & Selection: A committee reviews applications weekly, using a scoring system for fair selection.
Notification & Distribution: Recipients are notified via email, and gift cards are distributed electronically or in person.
Post-Distribution Follow-Up: Feedback is collected to assess impact and encourage participation in other initiatives.
